You could avoid maddening shopping crowds and hang with the beer nerds you love. There are many Black Friday gatherings around town. Many are centering on one specific imperial stout, but there’s other black beer options. Including a previous Golden Tappy award winner.
Black Friday Beer Events in Kansas City
Bier Station: Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout on tap at 11:00 am. Bottles on sale, too. (Limit 1 per person.)
Barley’s Kitchen & Tap on Midland: Get a flight of five Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout pours from 2013–17. That five years of amazing. They all tap at 11:00 am. Only flights, no single pours. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Cinder Block Brewery: For the first time, Black Squirrel, Cinder Block’s amazing, barrel-aged, Golden-Tappy-winning imperial stout is released in bottles. Rejoice! You can also get pours of the 2017 Black Squirrel and pours of the 2016 George Dickel bourbon-barrel-aged imperial stout. Oh, and if you need something to wash down with the beer, pancakes and sausage will be on sale. Breakfast food and beer? Someone alert You You Ben. All this starts at 11:00 am.
International Tap House: Winter Beer Release. That includes Bourbon County Brand Stout, Perennial Abraxas, 4 Hands Chocolate Milk Stout (including the Blackberry, Tiki, and Gingerbread versions). Doors at 11:00 am.
