We Beer Scouts like to drink great beer. Duh. But we also like to get behind the beer. We want to know who is making it and why they are making the beer they make. What were the motivations and goals for each beer brewed. We are always curious about procedures and methods. Many of us are homebrewers. Personally, I want to know about the beer names and labels, since that’s all related to the day job. We have lots of questions that we pose to the people we meet. And we thought it would be very scouting of us to let all our readers in on it too.
So today we are starting a new monthly feature here on KC Beer Scouts: Ask the Brewer!
Ask the Brewer
We have recruited the head brewer from one of the local breweries to answer a few questions each month for you readers. Ask him anything you want about beer, the brewing process, or life in the KC craft beer community. We will reveal his identity when the first column runs.
You can submit questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or via the Ask the Brewer page. If you give us a mailing address (though not required) and get your question answered, we will mail you some KC Beer Scouts swag for asking such a good question.
Look for the first Ask the Brewer column sometime in mid-March.
Now, whatcha wanna know?
