To no one’s surprise, Boulevardia is back for 2016. The three-day festival in the West Bottoms lands on Father’s Day weekend, which is June 17–19 this year.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 24, at 10:00 am. Which is only a big deal if you’re angling for one of the 2,000 tickets to Taps & Tastes, the festival-within-the-festival. Boulevard released the list of participating breweries today. Like in years past, there is a nice mix of local and regional breweries plus some interesting breweries from far away that do not distribute here. The complete list is below, but I am intrigued by several attendees: 21st Amendment (California), Arizona Wilderness, August Schell (Minnesota), Funkwerks (Colorado), and the Bruery (California). Plus the regional gems who don’t distribute to Kansas City: Blind Tiger (Topeka), Logboat (Columbia), Piney River (Bucyrus, MO), Side Project (St Louis) and Zipline (Lincoln, NE). Not that the rest on the list are anything but impressive.

So set you calendar for Wednesday at 9:55 am to ready your nine browser windows for Taps & Tastes tickets.

Your Thoughts?

Which brewery are you running to at Taps & Tastes?

By jimmywags

I began the path through good beer in college. Exploring different sixers and bombers based on packaging and label design (art student, mind you), I weaved my way around the continental lagers and Colorado craft ales. My knowledge and interest exploded upon receiving a homebrewing equipment kit as a graduation gift from my parents. Twelve years later, I've brewed most styles, experimented between them, and hunted for the perfect pint.
