While Repeal Day is celebrated on December 5 in honor of the brave citizens of Utah (?!) who voted to ratify the 21st Amendment, the legal sale and consumption of alcohol in the US after prohibition didn’t officially commence until the passage of the Cullen-Harrison Act. That law went into effect on April 7, 1934. And a case of beer was delivered to the White House the next day. So April 7 is designated as National Beer Day in the great USA.
So cheers to American beer!
