Hats Off to Homebrewers at Martin City Brewing – Deschutes Base Camp 2014

I attended the Hats Off to Homebrewers event in 2012, and enjoyed myself. Deschutes was new in town, and I wanted to know more about them. It was nice to get to chat with other homebrewers (since I am not a member of any of the local clubs) and hear some insights from the brewers at Boulevard and Deschutes. This year’s event, at Martin City Brewing Co, could be even better.

It cost $30, which includes beer samples, food, and a commemorative snifter. Tickets can be purchased thru Eventbrite. The press release copy is below.

Attention homebrewers and beer geeks … come share your love for craft at Martin City Brewery for a collaborative event with Deschutes Brewery. Visitors can chat with the brewers from both Martin City and Deschutes while enjoying side-by-side samples of beers from both breweries (in your commemorative snifter!) while enjoying small bites of fare that have been expertly paired with the beers. Gather complimentary brewing supplies, including clone recipe booklets and bags of whole flower hops, to use in your next homebrew (supplies are limited). A formal brewer Q&A session will answer your darkest, or lightest, brewing questions. Top off the evening with live music from a local band. Grab a fellow homebrewer or craft beer fan and join us for this amazing event!
