Happy 19th, 75th!

Tanks for the Memories

Kansas City’s oldest brewpub, 75th Street Brewery is celebrating their 19th anniversary this week with a load of special deals.

My first house was within walking distance of 75th Street, and I cannot say the location didn’t play a part in that decision. I spent many a Wednesday ($2, and later $1 draws!) of my 20s at the Brewery, then wandering the sidewalks of Waldo back home.

So, a full salute from the Beer Scouts to 75th Street Brewery and the whole KC Hopps team for 18 years.

Tanks for the Memories

I began the path through good beer in college. Exploring different sixers and bombers based on packaging and label design (art student, mind you), I weaved my way around the continental lagers and Colorado craft ales. My knowledge and interest exploded upon receiving a homebrewing equipment kit as a graduation gift from my parents. Twelve years later, I've brewed most styles, experimented between them, and hunted for the perfect pint.
