Get Outfitted at Bridger’s Bottle Shop Starting Today

Bridger's Bottle Shop

After a few delays, Bridger’s Bottle Shop, who we talked with back in February, is set to open to the public today starting at 11:00. Browse thru their 600-some beers and try your best to filter it down to a six pack to go. Every member on their staff is a Certified Beer Server (level one in the Cicerone system) and ought to be helpful in answering any questions you may have.

If you decide to sit a spell, you can grab a snack or a meal at Preservation Market. The Local Pig outpost will feature an interesting assortment of sandwiches, salads, and small plates. I’ve got my eye on the lamb tartar, jerk chicken sandwich, and house-made pickles. Mmm… While you eat, grab one of their beers on tap. Bridger’s will open with Perennial Black Walnut Dunkel, Stone Enjoy By 4/20 IPA, Avery Collaboration Not Litigation Ale (a blend of Russian River Salvation and Avery Salvation), Bacchus (an oud bruin from Belgium), Boulevard Rye on Rye, Left Hand Good Juju (beer with ginger), Santa Fe Java Stout, and Poperings Hommel Bier (Belgian IPA). Expect their taps to turn over quickly, though.

Cheers to Eric, Aaron, and Erica on their addition to Westport. Let us know what you think of Bridger’s Bottle Shop and how it fits into the Kansas City landscape.

I began the path through good beer in college. Exploring different sixers and bombers based on packaging and label design (art student, mind you), I weaved my way around the continental lagers and Colorado craft ales. My knowledge and interest exploded upon receiving a homebrewing equipment kit as a graduation gift from my parents. Twelve years later, I've brewed most styles, experimented between them, and hunted for the perfect pint.
